ABOUT THE AUTHOR

WILLIAM ASHANTI HOBBS

William Ashanti Hobbs, a native of Ft. Lauderdale by way of Atlanta, Georgia, discovered his passion for writing at an early age. During his junior year at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, he began to self publish short stories and novels.

 

Hobbs went on to earn a master’s degree and Ph.D. in creative writing from Florida State University. He returned to his hometown in South Florida  and is an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Florida Memorial University. In 2014 he co-wrote the short film, “Love, Mary” and competed in the worldwide 48hoursfilmprojects competition. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his two loving sons, Ashanti and Amiri.
